Session Costs

At Whanganui Counselling Services, we are committed to making counselling and education accessible, simple, and transparent.

Standard Counselling Session Fees:

  • $125 an hour + GST per session - individuals.

  • $150 an hour + GST per session – 2 people.

  • $175 an hour + GST per session - 3 people.

WK/PH/AH Counselling:

  • $150 an hour + GST per session - individuals.

  • $175 an hour + GST per session - 2 people.

  • $200 an hour + GST per session - 3 people.


Mediation and Mentoring Fees (2 people)

  • $150 an hour + GST per session – mediation/mentoring.

WK/PH/AH Mediation and Mentoring:

  • $200 an hour + GST per session - 2 people. 

Reflective Supervision Fees

  • $130 an hour + GST - individuals.

  • $145 an hour + GST - 2 to 3 people.

Skills Training Fees
This is where you learn and apply new skills in real time - in a structured, interactive, learning environment. 

  • $150 + GST per 1 hour session - individual

  • $165 + GST per 1.5 hour session - 2 people

How Payment Works

  • Clients pay for their own sessions privately not via ACC or other funded pathway options.

  • Payment must be made prior to the day of your appointment via online banking. 

  • You will be provided with a receipt on the day of your appointment. 


Why a Flat Fee?

Our structure is simple: no sliding scales, no complicated forms. We do not use Eftpos. No hidden fees, no surprises, pay by cash or online banking. Our purpose is: accessibility, transparency, and empowering you to have the confidence of what it costs before you walk in the door.
